We Believe Workshop titles
To help you choose We Believe Workshop units that are best for your use, the units have been arranged in Biblical order so that you can find a particular Bible story unit of interest. The Scope and Sequence for the units is available as well in a yearly listing. Titles do have the corresponding year marked. All workshops are currently available unless otherwise noted.

Biblical sequence
Order We Believe Workshops by clicking on the title of the workshop. For more information about particular titles please find the Class Objectives for the units on the theme pages.
- Creation (Genesis 1:1–2:4) Just as the Bible begins with the beginning, so can your church school. Year Two
- Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac (Genesis 18:1–15; 21:1–6) God’s promise to Abraham and Sarah is fulfilled by the birth of Isaac. Year Four
- Joseph: God’s Dreamer (Genesis 37:1–45:8) Joseph is his father’s favorite son. This makes his brothers angry, and they make plans to get rid of him. God makes it possible for Joseph to tell people what their dreams mean. Joseph does this for Pharaoh and Pharaoh gives Joseph important work. Joseph’s brothers come to Egypt in search of food and find Joseph, who forgives them. Through this act of reconciliation, God provides for God’s people during a time of famine. Year Three
- Moses: Baby in a Basket (Exodus 1:15–2:10) God’s caring hand acts through the caring hands of people in Moses’ life—the midwives, Moses’ mother and sister, and Pharaoh’s daughter. Year Three
- Ruth (Ruth 1–4) Ruth pledges her devotion to her mother-in-law Naomi and makes a new home in Bethlehem. She becomes one of God’s people and the grandmother of David. Year Four
- The Call of Samuel (1 Samuel 3:1–4:1a) God called Samuel to speak to God’s people and Samuel responded to God’s call. Year Four
- David as a Boy (1 Samuel 16–17) Explores the life of David before he became King. Year Two
- Jonah (Jonah 1–4) Jonah is a reluctant prophet of God’s forgiving love for all. Year 3
- Advent: The Angels Announce God’s Message (Matthew 1:18–24; Luke 1:26–38) Listen to the angels and hear God’s word not only to Elizabeth and Mary, but to us. Year Two
- Advent: Mary’s Song (Luke 1:26–56) Mary responds to God’s gift with words of joy and praise. Year Three
- Advent: The Birth of Jesus (Luke 2:1–20) Jesus is born in Bethlehem. Angels and shepherds proclaim the good news. Year Four
- Advent: The Shepherds (Luke 2:8–20) Shepherds hear God’s message proclaimed by angels, and respond. Year One
- Boy Jesus at the Temple (Luke 2:41–52) Jesus goes to the temple to listen and learn. Year Three
- Jesus’ Baptism (Mark 1:9–11) Jesus is baptized by John and blessed by God. Year Four
- Jesus’ Big Words (Matthew 5:13–16; 5:38–42; 6:25–34) Year Two
- Down Through the Roof (Luke 5:17–26) Friends let a very ill man through the roof in order to see Jesus. Year One
- The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37) Through a parable, Jesus teaches what it means to love your neighbor. Year Four
- Jesus Teaches Us to Pray (Matthew 6:5–15) Jesus teaches his followers the words to use when they pray. Year Three
- Jesus Teaches: Build on this Foundation (Matthew 7:24–29) Jesus’ teachings provide a firm foundation for life. Year Four
- Feeding Five Thousand (John 6:1–15) Year Two
- The Great Dinner (Luke 14:15–24) When Jesus invites us to follow him, we are to say, “Yes!” Year Three
- The “Found” Stories (Luke 15:1–10) Year One
- One Says, “Thank You!” (Luke 17:11–19) Year Two
- Palm Sunday (Matthew 21:1–11) Year Two
- The Great Commandment (Deuteronomy 6:4–9; Matthew 22:34–40) Year One
- The Last Supper (Deuteronomy 6:20–24; Luke 22:7–20) Year One
- Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet (John 13:1–15) Jesus serves and cares for the disciples and shows them how to serve and care for one another. Year Four
- Peter: Three Times, “No!” and Three Times, “Yes!” (Luke 22:54–62; John 21:15–19) Despite Jesus’ warning, Peter, when challenged, denies knowing Jesus. Later, Peter is able to affirm his love of Jesus three times. Year Three
- The Resurrection of Jesus (John 20:1–18) Jesus helps Mary understand his resurrection. Year Four * Available February 20, 2009
- Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13–35) Year One
- Women at the Tomb (Matthew 28:1–10) Year Two
- The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16–20) Year Two
- Pentecost: The Birth of the Church (Acts 2:1–15, 22–24, 37–42) The Holy Spirit calls the early Christians into a community of believers. Year Four *Available March 29, 2009
- Philip and the Ethiopian (Acts 8:26–40) Philip proclaims the good news about Jesus to an Ethiopian who believes and asks to be baptized. Year Three
- Peter & Cornelius (Acts 10:1–48) Year One
- Lydia (Acts 16:11–15, 40) Lydia becomes a follower of Christ through Paul’s ministry. She offers the ministry of hospitality to Paul and his companion. Year Three
