The Dominican Republic Mission connects all Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) participants doing mission in the Dominican Republic in a network to:

  • share information, experience and wisdom;
  • maximize and economize contact with partners;
  • share and discuss common strategies;
  • enable coordination of efforts;
  • coordinate mission efforts with area, program and General Assembly Mission Council/General Assembly level goals;
  • allow direct communication between involved parties and to minimize differences;
  • hold accountable the common goal of individual members to the collegium;
  • seek/invite new participants and
  • provide spiritual support for all partners engaged in the work of mission in the Dominican Republic.

Mission

Solid Rock Missions was officially incorporated in 1992 as a 501(c3) organization to support these Dominican-run ministries. We are a non-denominational group of individuals and organizations that have partnered to help meet the needs spiritually, physically, socially and educationally in the name of Jesus Christ. Our volunteer board comes from the United States and Canada. We have a small North American staff headquartered in Wauseon, Ohio.

Foundation for Peace

Graphic: The Foundation for Peace logo.The Foundation for Peace is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in 2002 to work hand-in-hand with people in materially impoverished areas of the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Kenya. We who live in abundance are meant to promote peace and instill hope by sharing our time, our talents and our resources with those who hunger, thirst and suffer from economic oppression and a lack of educational opportunity. It is our belief that working together as long-term partners in solidarity will result in sustainable and successful initiatives that relieve the effects of poverty, encourage personal growth and overcome injustice.
