Presbyterians Organized in Nurture and Teaching (POINT) will gather for annual training January 26–27, 2010, in Nashville, Tennessee, prior to the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators annual event, January 27-30.

The theme will be “How Deep is Your Well?”  Participants will explore what it means to embrace, nurture and commit to a deeper and wider faith as the body of Christ, called to grow Christ's church deep and wide.

Dr. Susan E. Hylen, assistant professor of New Testament, Vanderbilt University Divinity School, will be our guest. Dr. Hylen, who teaches biblical interpretation and focuses her research on the characterizations, metaphor and irony in the gospel of John, will offer her insights about what a deep and wide faith looks like. She will lead a process around tables for participants to articulate their own expressions of faith and to experience corporate discernment on the depth of faith.
