Location: Responding to Hurricane Ike in Galveston County, this village is at the First Presbyterian Church in Texas City.

Capacity: 40 volunteers

Needs as of April 2009: Rebuilding work in response to Hurricane Ike includes drywall, roof repair, demolition and flooring. Basic carpentry skills are helpful, and those willing to learn are welcome.

Additional Information: This village accommodates volunteers with wheeled bunkhouses (heat and A/C included), portable bath house facilities, and use of the church kitchen. Houston Hobby is the nearest airport.
