Location:Port Neches, Texas, serving the areas of Port Arthur, Bridge City, Beaumont, Orange, and Nederland in the Texas counties of Hardin, Jefferson, Orange and Chambers. This area is sometimes called the “Golden Triangle.” Houston is the nearest airport.
Capacity: 78 volunteers
Needs as of April 2009: Rebuilding in response to Hurricanes Ike and Rita. Work includes painting, roof repair, and installation of drywall, roofs, doors and windows.
Additional Information: This village offers pods for housing volunteers, with cots for sleeping. Lowe’s gift cards are helpful for building supplies
