As NNPCW gets ready to launch the planning of Leadership Event 2010, we are looking for young women to serve on the planning team. The chosen Leadership Event Planning Team committee members will serve from November 2009 to August 2010. This is a great way to get involved with NNPCW and PC(USA) with a short-term commitment. Bleary-eyed yet tenaciously determined, some 20 Presbyterian young adults — accompanied by friends, mentors and members of the General Assembly Council staff — rose uncharacteristically early to roll up their sleeves for a day of volunteer service June 13. Read the full story here.

NNPCW opens doors for University of Georgia student Lauren Connell

A rising sophomore at University of Georgia-Athens, Lauren Connell is pursuing International Relations with support from NNPCW’s academic scholarship program. “My choice of studies is unique and challenging, but God does not call us to do what is easy; he calls us to do justice,” Connell said. “My studies of international economics will lead me to new solutions, conclusions and possibilities about how to better serve, and free, God’s children.”

Lydia Kim called as Ministry Specialist for Women’s Leadership and National Network of Presbyterian College Women & Racial Ethnic Young Women Together

Lydia Kim Lydia Kim has joined the staff of the Racial Ethnic and Women’s Ministries/PW ministry area of the GAMC as the ministry specialist for Women’s Leadership and the National Network of Presbyterian College Women and Racial Ethnic Young Women Together. In collaboration with the associate for Women’s Leadership Development, Ms. Kim implements programming and ministries designed to meet the leadership development needs of women in the PC(USA). She serves as support for and the liaison with the National Network of Presbyterian College Women (NNPCW) and Racial Ethnic Young Women Together (REYWT). Read more. |
