The Smiths' daughter Allison, Pastor Valeri Eroshkin, and three
babushki in Bolkhov, Russia. All were busy preparing a meal for
the crew of men finishing the new church building. Bolkhov Baptist
Church is a new partner, entering a relationship with Browning Heights
Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Texas. |

The Smiths visited the rehabilitation center for ex-prisoners run
by the Baptist Church in Plavsk. This church has an active ministry
within the prison. They hope to set up a machine shop to provide
job training for the ex-prisoners.

Summer children's ministry-Elista Evangelical Christian Church,
Republic of Kalmykia. Kalmykia is one of three Buddhist republics
in Russia and one of Russia's poorest regions. |
