A manual designed to be a resource for churches who are considering calling an educator to be a part of the church staff. In addition, this is also a resource for Christian educators who are responding to a call from God to educational ministry in the church and are seeking a position.

Continuing education for volunteers

Opening Doors to Discipleship, the free online training resource, offers three courses:

• Course A, Teaching Skills;
• Course B, Bible Background;
• and Course C, Presbyterian/Reformed Faith.

Each course provides 12 sessions of interactive learning for volunteer training, leader development, or with Course B, member faith formation. Please note the new policies for educator certification regarding these course meeting some of the requirements for the Enrolled Educational Assistant level.
